Orion District Operating Committees

Orion District consists of a number of operating committees responsible for
running the programs and administration of the district:
- Commissioner Staff - Commissioners have the responsibility for enabling units to
deliver the goals of Scouting to the youth in their units
Programs
- Activities/Day Camp - See Events area for more information
- Training - every youth deserves a trained leader
- Advancement - helping with the advancement process, including district merit
badge counselors, and the Eagle Scout process
- Camping - helping units have an effective camping program
- Day Camp - annual Cub Scout Day Camp
- Health & Safety - ensures that unit and district activities are done safely
- Order of the Arrow - BSA's camping "honor society"
- Good Turn - giving back to the community
Administration
- Membership - resources to bring new youth into Scouting
- Friends of Scouting - Support the world's premier youth program
- Popcorn - unit fundraising opportunities by selling popcorn
- Scout Fair - fundraising and opportunity to see Scouts in action
